Okay so Emerson is pretty much AMAZINGGGG. I am loving it so much here. My suitemates are so fun & friendly, we're all like mad bffls. There's my roomie Esther who's from Philly & is Jewish & she's kindaaaaa a know-it-all at times & kinda loud, but she's nice enough & is my "Jewish mother." :) In one of the 2 other rooms are Rachel from Missouri & Channah (pronounced like Haaaanah) from LA & she is also Jewish (Orthodox-so she keeps kosher.) In the other room is Rae from around Cape Cod & Lorrayne from right outside Boston. I like all of them and we've spent a lot of time together talking, walking around Boston, eating meals at the dining hall, & attending various orientation events. I also have met people in my orientation group & doing crazy ice breaker activities in giant ballrooms in hotels in Boston... which equals awesome.

I just got back from a 2 hour long presentation from the Dating Doctor David Coleman, the man who inspired the movie "Hitch." It was super hilarious. He did a list of the worst pick-up lines ever, signs that a guy/girl is into you, the levels of a relationship, long distance relationships, & ways to break the ice. It actually made me a lot more relaxed about Nate and I 'cause we honestly aren't even really long distance since it's like an hour & a half to Vernon & I'll be seeing him often enough.

Classes start next Monday. I have Environmental Ethics, Western Civ & Culture, Ways of Knowing: Philosophy in Lit, & Research Writing. They all sound interesting & the times aren't bad at all. I also discovered that the gym holds free yoga, spinning, pilates, & kickboxing classes so my suitemates & I all got free memberships & we plan to chill there together. I'm loving the city of Boston- the food, the architecture, the parks, the people, everything. Everything is so exciting & fun & it goes a mile a minute.

My only real complaint so far is that my suitemates stay out wicked late. Like, we get back from the evening activity of the day around 10, then they go out walking around Boston or chilling/going to parties (not alcohol related ones though) until like 1 in the morning. I mean that'd be okay if we didn't hafta get up at like freakin 7 to go do mandatory stuff. I'm the only one who stays home instead of going out. I kinda like it cuz it's quiet & I guess since I'm an only child, I def appreciate & need my alone time. I have no idea how they're physically doing it cuz I feel soooo beat right now, I'll prbly be asleep by 12, hopefully I won't wake up when they burst in like rhinos at 1. Also, they're all boy crazy. And the guys here are all either gay or wicked nasty for the most part. Like mayyyyybe 10% of the guy population is dateable in my opinion. Maybe less. Which is fine by me cuz I have Nathannn. <3

Hm well this is getting mad long & prbly nobody's really all that interested in my goings-on at Emerson so I'm gonna peace it, read me some Harry Potter & hopefully fall asleep before everyone gets back so I get some actual sleep!
