I just spent an hour and a half banging onto my keyboard writing what by the end of it looked like an angry rant. So I scrapped that idea (I have an unpublished rant folder on my computer) and decided to pose a series of questions instead.

I have had this debate with my father, my girl friend, and several other people. The fact of the matter is I still shake my head when I try to have this conversation with some people. So please come forward:

How do you define logic or if something is logical?

How do you determine if something is reasonable?

Can something be logical but unreasonable, reasonable but illogical?

If a person is logical is that a statement about them - or their command of logic?

What influences do you look to for logic, and for reason? Are these influences given credence based on logic or reason?

Is something inherently incorrect if it is unreasonable, what if it is illogical?

Do you use something other than logic or reason to determine your actions?

Do you feel that you have a good command of reason, and of logic?

Assuming a difference between reasonable behavior and logical behavior does one have intrinsic moral superiority?
