oy. That's all I can say. oy.

Granted, I'm hazy on the differences between the two myself, but then again I'm paid to know about pharmaceutical research in humans not make any sort of political decisions about our interactions with the middle east and if I was, I like to think I'd figure it out.

So *this* is what happens to the bottom rank of my undergrads after they graduate. Feh. The similarity between the answers that these people gave and the bs answers that I read routinely on exams is more than a smidge disturbing. Perhaps I'll work this into class tomorrow.

You would think we elected politicians for their popularity or something, instead of their grasp of the issues and ability to discern the correct course of action.

One would hope that non-elected officials in the federal bureaucracy and political appointees would be slightly immune from that process. Apparently one would be disappointed.
