CHARACTER NAME | Cain
CHARACTER SERIES | =STARFIGHTER=
CANON POINT | End of Part 1
DESIRED CLASS & REASONING | Steam Gunner. This class is for Cain because he's a Fighter who considers himself to be the best at what he does, which is to shoot down enemy spaceships with impeccable skill. He is also pictured taking apart a regular gun, in this image here. So, there's definite evidence that shows he knows how to use various guns and would be perfect with this class.

BACKGROUND | The actual comic can be read here! Cain is known as a Fighter on the Reliant, a two person starfighter where he does all the shooting at enemy ships while the Navigator he is assigned to is the pilot. In the beginning he's put on a team with a new Navigator to the main starbase, Abel. Cain doesn't seem to give Abel any particular attention as they walk to their room and while Cain is calm about heading there, Abel is very nervous as he doesn't know what to talk about to break the awkward silence.

It isn't until they reach their room and go inside that Cain utters his first words to Abel, "You're my bitch now." Abel can't believe it at all that Cain would say something like that out of nowhere and is as expected quite freaked out about it. The scene then spirals into Cain biting Abel on the lips and leaving a scar there - Saying now everyone knows that Abel belongs to him now. Abel threatens to report him but Cain pins him to the wall and explains how while Navigators are intelligent, they are weak. He even mentions that while he's been nice, he's been known to be mean. At that point there's a sudden RED ALERT and while Cain is overjoyed at this, Abel is clearly anxious. Immediately, every Fighter and Navigator team rushes towards their assigned starfighters to board them for battle. Abel tells Cain they are on the red team, yet Cain completely ignores him as he knows what he's doing thank you - Even though Abel is trying not to burst into tears at any moment. This was the first time he would be the pilot on a starfighter that wasn't a simulation while also with a jerk like Cain. Said jerk doesn't make the experience any better when he finally does speak to Abel, telling him that he better keep up as he wasn't about to slow down for anyone. Of course, he isn't all bad - He also mentions that if Abel can keep up Cain will show him something nice.

When they leave the docking station the battle begins - Abel finds out fast enough just how amazing Cain really is at being a Fighter, as he shoots down every ship in his path while the starbase powers up their anti-matter cannon to finish off the enemy battleship that is surrounded by other smaller ships. After a bit of firing occurs on both sides, a different starfighter ship called Tiberius loses its Navigator and the Fighter is unable to escape as the starfighter's engine is blown and he is dead in the water while two enemy ships gain on him. Abel finally grows a spine and decides to help Tiberius, even though Cain is enraged and says that they're already dead so it would be best to leave them. Abel ignores Cain saying they have to help them and tells Tiberius to reroute all power to the thrusters so he can escape before the anti-matter cannon goes off and obliterates them all. Meanwhile, the Reliant takes care of the two enemy ships - They get hit but it isn't a devastating attack, so when Tiberius finally gets out of there due to Abel's help, Cain commands Abel to get the hell out of there - Which Abel does. The anti-matter cannon goes off and the enemy battleship is destroyed so that the smaller ships still alive leave. Thankfully still alive after all that, Abel is relieved - While Cain is also relieved, yet in a completely different way. The survival after a fight gets Cain hard - Literally, to the point he masturbates right there in the cockpit and freaks out Abel in the process.

Once back in their shared room Cain comes out of the shower with only a towel in his hair and another worn around his waist. Abel is laying on his bed, facing the wall with his hands over his head as if struggling with something internally and Cain decides to bother him. He tells Abel to get one thing straight, that Abel does everything Cain tells him to do and that because he helped Tiberius, Abel was going to have to learn his place. Abel snaps and tries to punch Cain, but Cain grabs his arm and restrains him as Abel continues to yell and tells him he doesn't take any orders from him. He also tells Cain that he is a monster, and Cain just laughs at him. He's amused since Abel still has some fight in him. Abel is floored due to Cain thinking this is all a joke, that he gets off on death and destruction - However, Cain corrects him by saying that: "It's the survival. To be alive, to experience both pleasure and pain." Then he tells Abel he's going to fuck him.

As is expected of a yaoi comic, he shows Abel that something nice he promised at the beginning of the starfighter battle. Cain even has a slight soft side then, giving more pleasure to Abel than he does to himself until the end when they're actually having sex. ... Cain likes to bite. Afterwords, Abel cleans himself up and then crawls back into bed with Cain, the two of them laying together as they drift off into sleep (but not before telling Cain, "No biting next time!"). The last scene in the first part is after Cain takes Abel. He's in his black, skintight spacesuit again and having a private meeting with the Fighter Commander who asks Cain once the room was empty except for them, "Well? Were you successful?"

Cain answers with a rather menacing look on his face, "Yes, sir. I certainly was."

PERSONALITY | While there are many ways to describe Cain, the first that one always thinks first is that he's very egotistical. He has a pompous way of acting that easily shows that he knows exactly what he can do, and he's not afraid to flaunt everything he's worth. His way of thinking tends to be that other people will merely "slow him down." He's better off on his own than being forced to depend on on someone else that might prove themselves unreliable or, even worse, end up getting in his way. If he's forced into close quarters with another human being? You bet your ass that he will quickly gain and assert his dominance over them, making sure they know exactly who's the one in charge. He takes no shit from anyone, as he would never allow someone to have some sort of control over him. He's the one with the power. No one else.

Cain isn't one to spare words or watch what he does when it comes to how others feel. He has a crude way of talking that might be a little rough for other people to deal with - This just goes with his need to be in charge. Who cares what other people think as long as he's the one directing the way the show will go? Hell, he even gets pleasure out of preying on the weak. He's a sadist, maybe even a bit of a masochist when it comes to all the times he must have almost died during missions, getting aroused from the survival afterwords every time. It's not to say that he's all bad as he does keep any promises he gives. When one does as he says, maybe even impresses him a bit, he's not as mean as he could be. That's all there is to it with Cain.

FIRST-PERSON SAMPLE |
Who the hell wants to die so much that they locked me in the training holo-suite when I was asleep? ... More importantly, who put me at such a low level like this? I'm not going to be caught dead at this level when another Fighter comes in and finds me.

Bring it on, you fuckers!
THIRD-PERSON SAMPLE |
Due to his instincts, Cain knew that there was something wrong with this whole situation now, as he began this holo-suite mission expecting to be let out some point soon. Yet, here he was still in this mission even though he's taken down plenty of those field monsters on his own. He was no longer level one, which he was at least glad about. However, what he had really been quite impressed on was a gun he had received early on, a rather powerful weapon when put into his hands. It wasn't like the guns he was used to when in actual training but it did the job well and it even had an interesting shape, where he could beat the hell out of anyone who got too close for his comfort. It was quite realistic too for a hologram simulation that was set in some world he's never been on before. While earth simulations tended to be realistic due to actual contact with earth by most, ones like these where those who created them had too much free roam were usually shit. It was almost unnerving how everything was so real in this made up world full of monsters and NPCs who tried to have actual conversations with him when he was in the 'root town,' they told him it was so called.

The more he thought about this place like he was now, the more frustrated he would become that he was still stuck here unable to leave. This wasn't where he belonged no matter the perks, after all - He was a Fighter, his skills were needed out in space while shooting at the enemy while Abel did all the other work for him. It was no wonder now that he was alone without a Navigator, he would get... Lost. Not that he would ever, ever admit that to anyone. He would rather slaughter hundreds of monsters in a brain numbing grind in the same area because he was lost than to admit that. He was usually alone anyway, until he hears movement not too far from him. Not a monster this time, it was definitely ... A human. That's when he remembers what else he's heard about this world.

That another way to gain experience for levels was to kill other 'players.' Player killing was supposedly the norm and hell, Cain thought there was nothing wrong with that. The strong would survive and the weak would learn their place. Under him, of course. His lips twist into a cruel smirk that is usual from him as he realizes the person hadn't noticed him yet, as Cain was trained on field work other than his skills in shooting at targets. Thanks to all his training to be a Fighter, he was a lot more alert with his surroundings than most. He pulls his gun out from against his back and feels it thrum against his fingers as he aims. He shoots with impeccable aim that is expected of him and he listens at the sound of agony from the person he shot. Listens to them crumple to the ground with pain, laughs as he walks towards them and continues as he watches them struggle to get up to their feet, to fight back. Cain doesn't hesitate to point the steam gun to their head and fires. The sound so realistic to his ears he feels his whole body alight with sensations. He could taste the victory in the air even as the fallen disappears from sight. While Cain knew there was something wrong with this whole situation...

He wasn't about to escape from it without at least milking as much damn pleasure as he could from this simulation.
