3 drabbles; pg-13
these are just three short drabbles from my space pole dancer/stripper au u___u this is probably considered a semi-wip, because i'm not sure if i'll continue it or not. for now though, you guys can have these three disjointed drabbles.
one day i will learn the art of title-making. that day is not today.
this was inspired by enrique's
dirty dance mv and
this picture of tao that just screamed space au.
It's a game that she plays
She can win with her eyes closed
It's insane how she tames

01 When it comes down to it, it's just a game.
Sehun’s got the room booked for an hour. It’d cost him nearly half of his latest paycheck, but as he presses in Tao’s code on the chair’s keypad, he thinks he wouldn’t mind spending the rest of it.
“Hi, Sehunnie.”
“Hey.” Sehun smiles. Last time he’d come, he’d told Tao to call him whatever he liked, and Tao had given him a small smile - a little upward quirk at the edge of his lips and whispered, “Okay then, Sehunnie,” into his ear.
At first he’d frowned and almost asked Tao to pick someone else, but when he left that day and the new customer came in, Sehun couldn’t suppress the grin that came when Tao greeted them with, “Hello customer.”
“How are you today?” Tao asks as he wraps a leg around the pole. Sehun notices that today Tao’s wearing black stiletto heels he promised he’s wear for Sehun last time. It matches the loose low cut mesh tanktop and small black shorts he’s wearing. Sehun automatically gulps and reaches to loosen his tie. He wonders if Tao has been programed to remember certain things about him, or if there’s someone behind the scenes who’s encoding all their interactions into a database somewhere to make this more personal, so Sehun keeps coming back.
“Been better,” Sehun replies, and watches as Tao twirls around the pole and onto the floor, before kicking his legs up, giving Sehun a nice shot of his ass.
“I think I can make it better,” Tao says, smug, and Sehun thinks he can, too.
02 A hot temper, matched With a cold killer
“Sorry, he’s booked right now with Baekhyun,” Kris tells Sehun unhelpfully. “If you want to wait though, he should be free in two hours.”
“Booked?” Sehun asks. “But he’s a machine. Can’t you just… project him in more than one room?”
Kris laughs. “That wouldn’t make him very special. What’s the point if everyone could get him whenever they wanted?”
Sehun says nothing, and debates on whether he should stay or just leave. Two hours is a long time, and he’d rather not spend it sitting in a waiting room getting drunk by himself. But at the same time, he really wants to see Tao.
At this point, his complete infatuation with a piece of machine isn’t very healthy, but he supposes it could be worse. He could be Chanyeol, who gets it off with his DJ set more than people, computerized or not. He’s set to make his decision, but then- “Who’s Baekhyun?”
Kris looks genuinely surprised at the question. “You don’t know Baekhyun? Tao’s partner is crime? Thunder Twins?” Sehun’s silence answers his question, and he gestures to the wall behind them. “I’m actually shocked you don’t know them; they’re the company’s most popular duo.”
Sehun watches with barely concealed curiosity as the wall lights up with Tao’s face. The camera pans out, and and there’s someone next to him, slightly smaller in stature, with pale white skin and pretty pink lips.
“They’re known for their, uh, sexual tension, to put it blunty,” Kris states, and Sehun can see why.
Tao’s resting his back against the pole, arms above his heads as he slides down until he’s eye level with Baekhyun. Baekhyun reciprocates by dragging his hand lightly across Tao’s waist and grabbing the pole behind him and lifting himself so he wraps his legs around the pole above him.
Sehun’s vision goes red and thinks it’s a bit unfair at how he’s feeling a whole lot of hatred for a projector and a bunch of binary coding. Baekhyun is-
Baekhyun’s a rival. Or an enemy. One of those, and Sehun knows he probably shouldn’t think like that, but he really, really likes Tao. He likes it when Tao remembers specific things about him and when he wears things and does things that Sehun’s mentioned he likes before, like he actually cares about what Sehun has to say.
But what he hates the most is that Baekhyun can touch Tao, and Sehun can’t.
“Um, thanks,” Sehun says, clearing his throat. “But I think I’ll come back next time.”
“Are you sure?” Kris asks. “I can put your name down and try to get you in as fast as possible. Or you could make a reservation?”
“No, I think I’m fine. Thanks,” Sehun says quickly as he makes towards the door. He turns one least time towards the screen to see Tao on the floor, ankle loosely curling around the pole as Baekhyun bends down, low enough so that their chests almost touch, and Sehun opens the door quickly and exits.
03 He's got a madness over him, doesn't know to stop
“You’re here at an unusual time,” Tao states, twirling loosely around the pole. “Isn’t it a bit past your bedtime?”
“Is that what you think of me?” Sehun snaps, and Tao actually looks genuinely surprised. “A kid who’s out late past their curfew?”
“I never said that.”
“You implied it,” Sehun snarls, and realizes, vaguely, somewhere in the back of his mind that he isn’t being very fair. Tao is only bits of numbers and coding put together to do a job. He wants to meet whoever programmed him and give them a well deserved punch in the face. “Tell me, Tao, do computers actually have emotions? You give a good impression of being turned on.”
“That’s not a fair question,” Tao replies, leg wrapping around the pole. “Tell me honestly Sehunnie, have I done something?”
Sehun bristles. “Don’t call me that.”
“Why not?”
Why not? Because-
Because there are so many reasons to answer that question and if Sehun had to list them all they could be sitting here for days. It makes him feel young, and inexperienced. It makes him feel like he’s constantly being patronized. It makes Sehun feel like Tao actually has some sort of relationship with him - whether it be friendship, acquaintances, or something else.
“Yes and no,” Sehun says.
“Yes and no to what?” Tao asks as he lifts himself onto the pole, and Sehun gets a nice shot of his ass.
“You doing something.”
Tao hums a bit as he lifts his leg up and turns himself upside down on the pole. “Are you going to continue to play games with me all day, Sehunnie? I can’t give you something you don’t ask for.”
“I don’t think you could give me what I ask for you either.”
Tao spreads his legs, and for the first time since coming to this joint, Sehun finds a blush coming up to his face, and he looks to the side as Tao laughs. “Okay. Let’s try something different, with the little time we have left. Turn the music up, please.”
Sehun finds himself once more enamored with the way Tao’s body moves as he bends backwards and his high heeled foot touches the ground, followed by his other, and then he’s walking towards Sehun, and Sehun doesn’t think this is following company protocol. The bass is pounding by now, but Sehun doesn’t think he can get himself back to look at the holographic control screen if he wanted to, because now Tao is walking space the projector barrier, and Sehun’s pretty sure no one has ever done that before, or even has the capability to do that before. There’s a ripple in Tao’s data fragment, and his body glitches into blue outlines, but then he’s in front of Sehun, raising one leg to sit on one side of Sehun’s thighs and Sehun’s breath hitches in his throat what Tao straddles him.
“I thought you couldn’t-”
“You can’t touch me,” Tao says, smiling. “So hands down, okay? We’re going to do something new.” He reaches over Sehun for the controls and the song changes to something for heavy and smooth, and Sehun already feels himself growing hard and shit he can look right down Tao’s shirt and sees toned muscles and oh fuck is that-
Tao grinds down onto him and Sehun openly gasps, hands digging into the armrests. “Tao, I’m-”
“You’re not supposed to talk during this, Sehunnie,” Tao whispers, and that’s not fair, that’s really not fair how Tao still sounds so unaffected as he runs his fingers over a prominent vein on Sehun’s neck, and here Sehun is liquid fire under his skin. He’s not sure if he’s just imagining Tao’s touch, or if it’s actually a thing, but he feels something press against his abdomen, and yup- yes, that is Tao’s hard on. “So Kris told me that you say me and Baekhyun together. Is that what this is about?”
“Fuck,” Sehun hisses, eyes half lidded as Tao gyrates his hips and sends Sehun’s mind spinning. “I thought you said we’re not supposed to talk. And I don’t want to talk about Baekhyun.”
“Okay - also a casual warning that your time is almost up.” Tao grins at him and Sehun’s about to break everything because he doesn’t care, he’s hard and Tao is on him, he can feel Tao, maybe not touch, but Tao can touch him, and that’s all he cares about and Tao is getting exceptionally close to his face right now - this might be the biggest change of the night so far.
The last image of Tao he gets is closed eyes and sharp lips before his body glitches one last time and the words “Credit Expired” is displayed behind the projector barrier.
