So, having midterms over means I can drabble regularly again! :D (For now I'm just pretending the looming research paper deadline doesn't exist...) So, here's two for this week's
open_on_sunday challenge of "Writing":
Willow was almost ready to give up for the day after spending hours moving her things to the Summers’ house, when she came across a tattered piece of paper among the old school notebooks that she was about to toss out.
A note passed between her and Buffy in class one day. Back before things got so hard. She traced Buffy’s handwriting with her fingers, almost sensing Buffy’s laughter as she’d been writing the note, trying to shock Willow with a description of Angel’s talents revealed the previous night.
The teasing words of a girl who was very much alive.
Dawn didn’t have any trouble getting the truth out of Andrew once she pushed; she wondered why she hadn’t tried sooner. Spike was alive again, and had been for months.
She sat down and wrote him a letter, not really concerned when angry tears fell and blurred the ink; the message was still clear. She wrote things she didn’t mean, but thought he deserved to hear them anyway.
A week after she sent the letter, she saw LA in flames on the news. A week after that, she got an envelope in the mail.
Return to sender.
She burned it.
And now for something completely different: Is anyone available to beta my IWRY fic?
