I've decided I'm not going to worry about the job sitch until the new positions are revealed next month. Then I can find out what the job grades are and if any are worth going for. It might work out OK, it's possible that Kirsty might apply for one of the support officer jobs (wouldn't be any point in my applying for that one since I don't have enough knowledge) which would free up her old post for me to possibly fill. Or there's the possibility of the enforcement clerk position - it might mean working with middle-aged men but I guess it wouldn't be so bad. Paul has a wind problem though.
The biggest problem is that they won't sort out and advertise the new positions before my contract expires in September. But I guess I can ask that question when the positions are revealed next month.
