Movie Seen
So I caught XF 2 this morning (way, way too early), and while I still have some processing to do about it, overall I'm pretty happy, esp. in regards to the MSR, which was just so wonderful and evolved and lovely in this film. I was really pleasantly surprised. I'll try to come up with a fuller, more spoilery review later, but for now all I can say is Two Thumbs Up, Will Watch Again.
This brings my total of "Movies Watched" for the summer of 2008 to four, btw, which for me is a huge number. Of those four films there are two I hope to see again in the theater, IWTB being one of them.
Oh, and Mark Snow's work on this movie is just phenomenal. The theme he used for most of Mulder and Scully's scenes together is ridiculously beautiful and under the right conditions those three or four tracks alone could probably bring me to tears.
Now I'm off for a week of vacation with my family in the Sierras, otherwise known as "I Sure Hope I Don't Get Attacked By a Bear During the Night."
