As someone with both Murphy (O'Murchadha) and Dwyer (Mac Duibhir) blood, along with a great grandfather however many generations removed who emigrated directly from Cork (while hiding in ditches from the English), this is the day when I am the most aware of my Irish ancestry.
Well, actually, if you consider the red hair and freckles and pasty white Irish girl skin, I'm aware of it quite often.
