So, I saw it yesterday. As a movie, it was okay. As a movie based on a book, well, I always have a problem w/ the changes they make. I guess my problem is, I have certain images in my head and then the movie doesn't look like that. I picture Bella being less uptight when being around Edward. Wasn't that the whole point? She feels totally at ease? But she never smiled, always was mysterious and brooding. Who wants to date THAT? What, besides her blood, would attract Edward, if we just watch the movie?
Speaking of Edward, I pictured him as much less emotional , more under control. Whats with the epic emotional intakes of breath from someone who doesn't BREATHE!? I imagined a reserved but suave individual who smiled on occasion, especially after meeting the girl of his dreams. Yes, I agree w/ his angry scenes (Port Angeles) but I always see him as calm cool and collected once he decides to date Bella. Kind of like a patient parent dealing w/ a hyper child. I guess I have issues.
Why weren't the "bear" sightings brought up? and WHY would Charlie even begin to think the attacks weren't from an animal? Is he psychic now? The field trip was pointless. When did Laurant become Jamaican? And saplings don't make a tremendous thud when they strike a rock. Oh and whats w/ demanding Bella say vampire out loud? Pushy much.
I need to see it again but I'm sure I'd have other issues too. I hope for the next one, Kristen Stewert gets the stick out of her as and lightens up
