ok. so my mom is sending one of her cats to fat camp.
otherwise known as my apartment.
the cat is probably about 4-5 pounds overweight, and has been miserable for the last 2+ years since my mom brought home the ragdoll kittens. she's turned into a nasty bitch, and has refused to warm up, so to speak, to the others. so she's coming to live with me for a little attitude adjustment and weight reduction. i like this cat. i just hope my place doesn't start to smell like cat shit.
in other news, i forgot to post this a couple weeks ago: my second phone bill came, and as expected there was another $400+ dollars of long-distance charges from me forgetting to change my dial-up number. so as instructed, i called up verizon again to hopefully get them to reduce some of this. they actually fucking dropped the whole $400! i couldn't believe it. so instead of having to pay an extra $1300 in stupidity fees, i only owed $500, which is much more manageable (especially now, whilst i am idle). i mean $500 (well, $400 now) still really sucks. but it beats the snot out of $1300.
also, i'm in the process of rebuilding a bookshelf that i got from my gma when she moved this summer. it was in pretty tough shape, but still usable. i found out that it's at least 65 years old. so now i'm especially glad i didn't trash it.
