Everyone has something to say.

I am not excluded.

Yes, everything has something to say about it. The big US event that I can only imagine makes other countries want to smother us for talking on and on about it.

But yes. I haven't watched an inauguration before. In years past, I've been too young and/or didn't care. I'm still a teen, for crying out loud; politics didn't matter to me until Bush, and when Bush was there, it was too depressing for me to care.

Oh, Obama. I feel hopeful for the future, and far too poetic for my own good. My own personal moment?

"We are a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus -"

Meanwhile, I was quietly sitting in the back of the student center theatre, thinking about athiests, how we never get a word in. How this entire ceremony was soaked in Christianity, and although I respect how important it is to most people, how depressing it was.

"- and non-believers."

And I smiled, pumped my fist, got a few strange looks from the almost purely religious student body, but who cares, I was happy.

Yes, the entire speech was amazing. But I just want to point that moment out as my own moment, because everyone's saying how Obama's speech was very much a conversation to each of us, and how all are mentioned and included and given some recognition. And that's my moment.
