There are a few things I like about my work.
One of them is wives. I like the secret sneaky thrill of phoning them on sample surveys, watching them get mad, and then asking for their husbands. They're some of the few people that actually sound relieved to find out that I'm phoning to do a survey.
A bar called "The Library" has opened up in my building where I work. So every night, around nine, it gets going. And as I phone, I can feel the bass beneath my feet. And I know that there's happy dancing drunk people a few floors below, and that's a nice thought.
It's in the exchange district.
I can decide at the last minute whether I want to work.
So other than the fact that it's boiling my brain, it's a perfecty wonderful job.
I forgot to bring mitts to work today, and froze my little hands off on the way home. My hands aren't little, actually, but they seem so. They're like oversized kid hands.
I like making food.
