I'm so excited for college!!
oy. i finally understand how ping.fm works!! xD
but anyway, i was without internet for... oh 2 days last week, haha. (oh the horror!!!) most of the time i ended up watching japanese and korean soap operas or reading. well, it was really ood, because my younger brother had won a scholarship from the city that gave us a free wireless internet connection from time warner for two years. Well, it suddenly got cut off last week when we still had another year left. This happened for all the students who won the scholarship a year ago. Guess with the budget cuts, the city can't afford another year of free internet for all those kids, huh? sad. Well, two days later, we got our internet set up again from a different provider, so it's all good now(except now that my dad has to pay i guess).
last friday i went to go buy a planner. and then i went to eat boiling crab with lauren and vance. i ♥ that place so much. (:
then on saturday i went to a bonfire. jessica freaked me out now -- i'm all worried im going to get a UTI from wearing my wet bathing suit too long or something haha. espescially since next year I plan on going to the beach a lot. Oh well, i just know to be more careful.
well, all in all, it was fun -- well except for the fact that for being a bonfire there was no pit?? haha. we had a grill.
well, today was kind of special because i went to go and eat lunch with a very very old friend that I hadn't seen in a while, and we just caught up a little. it was fun. It was nice to talk to her before we went to college. The internet makes it's so easy to keep in touch with people, doesn't it? Even if two people lived halfway around the world(well, this is assuming you don't live in China or N Korea hah) you could still be filled in pretty well as long as the two had the WWW. Well, I hope I can connect with some more people I haven't talked to in awhile soon! I want to remember all the people in life. I mean, wouldn't it be great, 10 years from now, you can say you still talk and are close to people you knew way back when and be able to say how they've made a difference in your life?
I also found out, that since we have HD channels now, I can watch this program called NHK world -- where they host the show J-Melo. I got so excited because I've only been able to watch that show online before(miyavi, crystal kay, and all these other Japanese musicans i liked have been on it.). But I would have liked it better if melody. still hosted it. She's so cute -- I've always liked her. So that's why I was so excited(and extremely suprised -- i mean they seem like complete opposites) when it was annouced she and Miyavi were getting married. oh i can't wait for miyavi's baby to be born!! he posted a blog with pictures of rainbows and talked about his unborn child haha. so sweet. (:
btw, has anyone seen those TERRIBLE ads the governer(gosh it does not feel normal calling Arnold Schwarzaneggar "the governer" or "our governer") has put on television. the ones convincing people that his "budget" is a good thing?? I was so pissed when I saw one of those ads. i thought he just CALLED himself a Republican -- he never really acted like one before!! wtf??
Oh, and i'm just SO excited for college -- I just can't stop thinking about it. I keep thinking about all the things I want to do and how I want to decorate my dorm room and my bike and the clubs and activities I want to do. There's going to be a class of '13 bonfire move-in weekend and I am SO DOWN haha.
I want to know who my roommate is so BADLY. But I know I won't find out until the end of august/beginning of september. what a bummer right? ):
