It's easy to lose oneself in the world it seems. I just took a bit of time to myself and sat outside to contemplate some of the things that have been affecting my life lately. Listened to the birds chirping their tune that has seemed to cease during the day. I watched the heavens above me and saw the sun opening up and lighting the skies while the slightest sliver of a moon glowed in it's glory of the sky. The trees around my house our bare, and most of them hidden by houses to block out their full beauty, but still the stood proud, without much protection but the bark on their limps. And in that nudity that they had, they were the most glorious sight that I could behold.

I stopped today, stopped and looked around. Took the time I needed to clear the jumble of things happening in my life and just listened to the world around me. One of the smartest things I've done lately.
