dear chocolate chips,

why are you so tasty, easy to eat in large quantities, and impossible to save for the purpose for which you were initially purchased (ie baking)? why do you lure me with your deliciousness, and insist on keeping me coming back for more with your chocolaty siren's song?

please, set me free.

ma'loo

Lindsay, only you can emancipate yourself from the enslavement of the chocolate chips. Harness your inner chi.

I was trying to melt those little buggers the other day in the microwave, to use for dip with strawberries, but they wouldn't melt for me. My girlfriend said to add some butter, and they still wouldn't melt. They ended up sort of soggy, mashed, and burned. I threw them out.

there are some that are specifically marketed as not losing their shape when heated up, maybe you used them! otherwise, i think maybe doing that sort of thing on the stovetop and stirring a lot is a better approach. microwaves do funny things to food.

i'm sorry about your chocolate chip heartache; i'm sure they didn't mean to let you down.
