For fandomverse, no spoilers at all.
I'm not very good at selling things, I'm probably a bit short on the words quota. But this show deserves a chance, once you get past the premise and over it, it's a great little family show, with lots of heart, and a buttload of humour. When I first heard what it was about and saw ads on TV, I didn't want to watch. Thought how trashy it was, that shit won't last long. Then I was bored after marathoning Parks & Recreation and having no funny to watch because of one of its many mini hiatuses, gave it a go, and we fell in love fast.
And Fox renewed it, so it can't be all bad. They never cancel the good stuff.
1. They're a family.
They're a great family unit. Virginia/Burt, Jimmy & Hope, and Maw Maw. It's hard not to fall in love with all of them. They're crazy, but they're all crazy, so it works. Fabulously!
2. Guest Stars.
I love these people, every one of them was such a treat. I want to say MLR was my favourite, but it had to be Jaime Pressly & Ethan Supplee. Their story with Burt & Virginia was so funny.

3. The cutest baby girl on TV.
I'm sorry Lily Pritchett-Tucker, but there's a cuter baby in town. She makes the cutest faces, and they fit the moments so perfectly. Of course clever editing, but it works! Gif ♥
4. Martha Plimpton.
Is fabulous. The end.
5. Maw Maw.
She steals the show. She is hilarious. Completely crazy. SO MUCH FUN.
The bonus round... IT'S REALLY FUNNY.
