I may as well start posting semi-regularly again. I apologize if LiveJournal is showing ads on this journal now (I did not bother renewing my journal subscription after my posting in February), and still do not plan to pay for a renewal. However, I don't notice it myself, as I keep a fairly up to date Hosts file to blacklist advertising domains (Too much malware sneaks in through advertising content, and frankly, I think the ad-hosts can't be arsed to give a damn).
Here's a short summary.
- Glad to hear Led got gainful employment. I was quite worried about his situation.
- Undergoing a chest X-ray on Monday to ensure there's nothing untoward after this week's mold incident. Thankfully, the leak occurred in an area without porous materials, and it seems to have been cleaned up successfully with bleach and a mop.
- Moved my desk out of the living-room; Got tired of having to listen to spill-over from game voice chat. I don't begrudge my roomies their fun, but Orka has a bad habit of getting thoroughly excited on his MMO of choice, and shouting into his microphone when excited. Trying to concentrate in that environment was difficult at best. Much happier in my garden room surrounded by the plants on all sides. Lighting's nicer, room smells nice (Growing peppers, herbs, and well watered earth; I love it), and it's overall much easier to focus in there. However, I have not moved the coffee maker or anything else in there, as I do not feel it would be appropriate to essentially shut myself into the space. Any excuse I have to leave it, and be sociable from time to time, is a good excuse.
- Making alternate educational plans on the off chance that I am not accepted into my school of first choice. Eyeballing an alternate program through BCIT that should accomplish similar results. Not looking forward to that if I do, however, as I will likely have to move, to attend BCIT. That, or put up with an hour and a half commute each way.
