Only 10am and I already want the day to start over.

So, this morning I got up at 8am. Since I have to leave for yoga at 9am, I figured I had plenty of time to get ready. Then I remembered that I had forgotten to pick up my Adderall prescription last night. Since I work at the doctor's office today, and I cannot handle that job without my pills, and I didn't have any left from my last refill, I just decided to leave a little early so I could pick it up before yoga.

I left ten minutes early, and that is when the trouble started:
  • Walgreens was very busy. Picking up my prescription took twenty minutes, leaving me with five minutes to get to yoga, a drive which takes 10 minutes IF everyone is going the speed limit and I hit all the green lights. Which never happens. And it certainly didn't happen this morning. I was going down Rand in rush hour traffic for hell's sake.
  • Given that I was going to be 15 minutes late, I decided to skip yoga this week and just go to the fitness center at CCC. Realized on my way there that I had forgotten my iPod, and my latest issue of Massage Magazine is sitting on the table in the living room, and not in my backpack like I had hoped.
  • Not wanting to work out without music, I decided to go to the library and study until it is time to go to work, ocassionally taking breaks to walk around a little bit. I can stretch when I get home.
  • I find my water bottle, which I had been looking for yesterday. Unfortunately, I left it in the car overnight, and the water that was inside had turned to ice.
  • On the way into the library, I trip on the curb and embarrassingly fall down on the sidewalk.
  • I sit down and get settled in one of the quiet study rooms, only to be chased out because that room has been reserved.
The good news is that the other room I sat down in appears not to be reserved, as I have not yet been chased out, and I've been here for about half an hour. Also, roommate was happy with me yesterday because I did the dishes even though it wasn't my day. Also, Mikki is coming over this evening for a bit of a drinks party. We would have gone out somewhere, but Sarah is always busy and she still doesn't trust the two of us alone with alcohol, particularly since we haven't seen each other in person since a particularly painful post-breakup argument. So, needless to say, I'm a little apprehensive about having him over, but I think it should be fine. Especially with Sarah keeping an eye on us.

More good news, my brother is coming home from the Peace Corps on Sunday, and I will be spending a week with my family and my kitties!
