Well, this week I blazed on wrapping up some of my unfinished business. As I was saying in an earlier post, I am a bit overdue on some swappy stuff. I made a big fat list, hung it on my wall, and am crossing items off as they go out.
I did finish a scarf for my pal
Heidie.
It turned out...okay, IMO. Interesting to make.
I got a mention on
art for housewives! I had to get over to
five gallon bucket and at least change the blurb-y bit on the front page. It was still sitting there with references to last September. sigh.
And I was totally thrilled to find this great clothing shop out the Netherlands,
flobberdewotsky. Amazing, go check it out.
And have you all seen
whipup.net yet? This site promises to be a number one resource for online craft inspiration.
After pondering a bit about how to step up my crafty business production, I have set a goal for myself to try to work 3 hours a day on saleables. I can commit this much to my less-than-rewarding job for money, so why not my craft, eh? We'll see how it goes. Apart from wanting to be a vendor at the
Summer Arts Fair, I would like to go sell at the
Crafty Wonderland in Portland. They only have room for 40 vendors, and I'm not sure I will be ready for the first one, but it is something to aim for. I am sure it is achieveable.
I am excited about my warm season color palette.
It is a bit bright! I can't help myself. These are the colors that call to me from the rack! Maybe I am taking my desire to be "like a rainbow" too seriously. :) (Although those aren't really rainbow colors, they are more tropical...)
Okay, just a few scant minutes before today's "craft shift" begins. I am working on a dreamy (and very bright) skirt. It is going to stop traffic when it is done. You'll see...
