Time to Post Again... I suppose... ;)

I have been so busy I've seriously been loosing track of time!

My kid is doing really well, haven't gotten him a new horn teacher yet as some of them are a bit difficult to track down over a summer. They still teach, but they also do so much other stuff that getting a hold of them is nigh impossible.

Dave is working constantly.

I've been sewing pants, never a thrill - but this pattern? *insert loud expletives here* I had helianthos come over and hash through it with me to make sure I wasn't loosing my mind (sadly, I wasn't) and figure out how best to put them together with only 1/3 of the needed instructions and pieces that don't fit or follow the instructions at all... Cyrano, this is taking much long than planned but you WILL have NICE Imperial Security britches!

Knitting, doing a lot of that too... most of it is over on Ravelry but that's not too helpful if you don't have an account there. So I'll try and post a bunch of stuff in a few days. I actually have some pictures of ME to show off even.

Big thing coming up is a whole lot of fine, fast spinning! I'm doing the "Tour de Fleece" - treadling as a Sprinter and on the Lime & Violet team. Starts Saturday when "Le Tour de France" starts. We love to watch it anyway, and I often spin while watching it - figured I might as well give myself a real goal. I'm starting off with some silk/merino roving in "Dragonfly" by yarnwench Wait until you see it! I'll be spinning fine laceweight singles (at least that's the plan, we'll see how it wants to be spun) and either putting it up as 2-ply or Navajo 3-ply.

Dave "dressed" her up for me:

family, spinning, friends, sewing, tour de fleece, knitting
