Before, it's been easy for me to transcribe VoicePosts on LJ. Unfortunately, it was more difficult this time. First of all, when I hit transcribe, it opened a transcribe window but didn't start playing the recording, and when I hit the VoicePost hyperlink to start the recording, it switched me to a blank window that played the sound but didn't let me transcribe. So I had to have two tabs open, hit VoicePost in one and go to the other page to transcribe. Then, I had to keep switching back and forth between tabs, because of the second problem, where parts of the recording kept dropping out. At first, I thought the problem was a glitchy recording, maybe because of cell phone disruptions. But when I listened again, I realized that the muted parts were moving around in the recording. So it must be an LJ problem. After I listened to it multiple times, I was able to make a complete transcript, but this is not good. Feel free to forward my complaint to an LJ administrator.
