The only problem I really had boarding the plane home was when the self-serve kiosk didn't print my boarding pass. I had to get it from the premium desk.
The flight home was quite hot and stuffy. My seat was 15C which was an aisle seat and in between me and the window were two women who spent a lot of the flight eating snacks and talking about money and houses, and other such things I couldn't be bothered listening to. This time I remembered to unpack my book and spent most of the flight home reading Dune. I had the same refreshments as last time, plus one sugar for my tea and minus the sweets which were not offered going south.
It was sad to get back, but I was also relieved because I was very tired. Kayne picked me up from the airport and by that time I was quite hyper and incredibly exhausted. We got home, I had a shower, got dressed, and then we went and picked up Dale and managed to catch the last few songs of Haylar's gig. I was much too tired after that but still I insisted on eating some dinner, even though it was after 11pm, and ended up having McDonalds which made my tummy hurt a lot so we dropped Dale back home and Kayne took me home where I collapsed on the couch until he made me go to bed.
I can't wait to get back to Auckland some time and spend more time with my friends there. They might even come down south to visit me if I'm lucky! Anyway, maybe it will be a proper weekend next time but I have to save up for the flight, the time there, and book the annual leave.
And that's it! My trip to Auckland and back.
