Writer's Block: Beyond Our Ken

You know that pressing, suffocating feeling you get when you know you're not welcome? An empty room forced me to feel that way... I walked into my parents' room to grab some Qtips and immdiately felt a sudden change in temperature. Frankly, it was cold--but not to the point where I could see my own breath. The portraits and the furniture were coated in dust, a thin layer...but coated nonetheless. It felt as if they were all judging me somewhat... All my senses were telling me to 'get out'--but I wanted my Q-tips. So, I stepped out of the room and into the long bathroom beside it. Of course, the temperature got even lower... The scary thing was how quiet it was... I could hear my own footsteps, and usually I take much care to walk quietly... I soon bent over to take some Q-tips from the cupboard below the sink when I heard the sound of something being dragged across the floor. It sounded like a broom sweeping concrete... I wouldn't have been so disturbed if I knew there was someone in the house, but I was home alone that day. Then, out of the corner of my eye, I saw something moving... When I turned to look, a pale leg was dragged into the toilet stall.

I ran.

My parents have yet to find anything wrong with their room... Somehow only my brother and I can feel that strange sensation...
