I don't know anyone personally except to the already mentioned computer repair shop workers and I wasn't really satisfied with their services before. :(
Actually, I'm fairly sure if you download Ubuntu, you can install it inside Vista. I have mine installed inside XP so I can run virus scans on my harddrive without having trouble dealing with XP security level bullshit.
Ubuntu starts out as a hassle though because you need to get all the right graphics and sound card drivers installed but once you get past that, it's pretty chill to have as a second operating system in case Windows conks out on you.
Although I think I'll try what one user did and do a system restore a couple of days further earlier in the month from searching in this place's forums before going with this option. Thanks for the suggestion though. o/
According to what I've read, it has nothing to do with a virus. It's just an error that whatever has been installed into the computer or whatever WAS working earlier does not work completely anymore and thus the errors come around.
They explain the symptoms well enough but not enough solutions to the problem.
