In this, my last summer, our last summer, we have been leaving our mark on this town the only way we ever could - subtly, unnoticed but by ourselves. We have bought toys from ghosts, and for them, shifted our own feet and boxes of others, through glass, through the sand traps. I tried to verbalize where I think you're going, and I think I can see it, but it's very abstract, like an emotion, except language gives us convenient words for emotions. This doesn't have a word assigned to it. That's where metaphor comes in, I guess, but the signal-to-noise ration can be unkind to that sometimes.

This tidbit was pointless. But I'm just digressing from a digression.

yeah i'm going to miss all of my friends and being able to just randomly hang out...speaking of hanging out, that was fun the other night, we should hang out again some time before leaving!!!! talk to you later!!

I know! and I feel that way about it too...it's not the town itself with which I have a connection, and it's barely the people. It's just the knowledge that I have become an immovable part of something, unbeknownst to most of it's inhabitants.
