This is my favorite photograph:
I don't know why. About 7 years ago, I was at Value Village in Milwaukie, looking for old photo albums. There were about 8 albums full of photos, mostly taken by the female half of the couple whose life they chronicled. It was sort of sad that these collections had been dumped and forgotten when there was so much history and veritably good photographic work. Lots of travel pictures from around the northwest, grandchildren at various stages of life, and the veteran husband proudly modeling each of what appears to be his entire wardrobe of former military uniforms. I'm fairly certain these albums spanned their entire lives.
This shot has been floating around my room for a while, so I figured it was time to scan it before my wanton disregard for my own possessions has its way and the photo is lost forever. Maybe I should do this with others from the same album to save them from a similar fate. As you can see, this one already has a bit of sticky on it.
Does anyone else have a favorite photo they didn't take, that for some reason ended up in your possession? Post it!
