Where the hell is your SaversBlog? You come on here afters months of silence, write a lengthy post about an exciting, nay, visionary new project and then never follow through? WTF?
Well friends, let's take a moment to recognize that if I haven't followed through, it just means all is right with the universe. And isn't that rightness something we can all feel good about?
As it turns out, it's a lot harder to take object photos than I had realized, particularly with my lame-o camera which absolutely refused to take pictures indoors. So I had to steal Polly's camera, and then I had to not use it for a while, and then I had to charge some batteries, and then I had to take some mediocre photos and pout and accept that I'm just a mediocre person and everyone who reads my LJ already knows that, so whatever, and THEN I had to realize that our cameras take different cables and I could not upload those fucking ugly pictures yesterday anyway.
So I have no SaversBlog for you yet, but I'm feeling chatty so I'll grace you with some of the drivel dancing around in my head right now. I'm back at the big fancy ad agency for a second week of doing absolutely nothing but reading the internet; mmmm, the internet. I'm going home for a visit next week and damn if I'm not peeing my pants with excitement. I cannot wait to lie around my parents' air conditioned house and go swimming in the neighbor's pool with my brother and eat Tasti D-Lite and visit my sister and Joe and grill with my parents and drink beer with Iris, and, if I'm very lucky, eat some of my very favorite pork product, available exclusively in NJ. What a lucky girl I am.
Also, in light of the copious amount of time I've been spending online, I feel an obligation to spread the love on all the folks who have been keeping my entertained during my 8-5.
1) One Good Thing - hands down my favorite fucking blog. Just cannot get enough of it.
2) Pussy Ranch - local gal made good Diablo Cody. Her book Candy Girl is amazing and her blog is like candy.
3) Feministing - just like it sounds like, making me a well-informed lady
4) Feministe - ditto
5) I Will Dare - a pal from my fiction class
6) Pink of Perfection - everyone who would read my lj probably already knows about it, but whatever, it's still cool despite the fact that I never make any of the things she does, I now know how.
