sometimes i get lucky and get things i didn't know to want
awake alone again, but this time much more content after a long day of good things. this place is amazing and also, good people. tonight i am up in the "tower" which is this look-out on top of the house through which i can look out at all the stars. stars are so big i thought someone had christmas lights out at first and my eyes hadn't even fully adjusted. also it's warm up here--everyone else is avoiding it but i find it cozy. just warm enough for me, and in the morning the sun will come in from all sides with even more warm and pretty colors and light.
i am eating a turkey sandwich while checking email and it's silly but i like these little mundane things that feel like home no matter where i am. it could be the sudden influx of serotonin precursors talking, but yes.
speaking of tryptophan--i am, shockingly, somewhat sleepy. i love it. am going to actually close the computer and stargaze while listening to Jim Guthrie's Lone Star and Little Furnace, my two favorites off of the Space Babies LP until i fall asleep.
