Aww! I love rodent babies!

A few years back i had a delightful guinea pig called Pumpkin (she was orange and black so it seemed fitting) I had her for more than 6 months and only once in that 6 months was she in the same house as another guinea pig (and it was female) i moved house and about 3 weeks after we unpacked i was at work one day and got a txt from my flatmate...

"ummm you now have two pumpkins"

I don't know how exactly but she had indeed had a pup! i had no idea she was even pregnant :) it was really exiting but somewhat mysterious...

TL;DR rat babies are CUTE!!

Aww how cute!! Yeah mine were a suprise too!! I had mama Snowflake with 2 boys for 4 months and nothing happened and just as we thought she migjt not be able to have babies, i heard a bunch of squeaking. I thought that the rats were playing or something so i went to check and there they were! I still have 4 and they are such cuties! Especially the 2 girls!

Ive never had a guiena pig but i would love to have one after i filter down on the rats ;p

Baby animals are always awesome, especialy when they are little suprises! <3

G pigs are quite lovely pets :) i never had rats but i did have mice and i loved the boldness that the gpigs had by comparison- also they love to swim so giving them baths is something we both enjoyed.

At the time i was traveling quite a lot by train to see my family (they live an hour or so away) so she had a special box that she used to travel in and she seemed to enjoy getting out of the city and grazing on my olds large lawn :)

Rodents make the best pets!

They really are! Its a shame that so many people seem to dismiss them! I like mice, but rats are by far smarter! One of the dads and a couple of the babies love giving kisses! One likes to sit between my boobs in my shirt with her head peaking out when i walk around or am just sitting on the couch. Only one of them like baths! The others are sooo difficult to bathe! XP luckly they are pretty tidy so i dont have to do it much!!!

I completely agree with rats being smarter :) my mice were damn cute but i wouldn't call them the brightest bunnies in the burrow!

I always found it sad when people got so weird about rodents esp rats and mice, the whole "Its dirty and smelly!!1!" thing always confounded me its like why would they as a prey animal to larger animals want to smell strongly? thats not going to make for a long lived prey animal now is it?

On the whole i find rodents charming :) its nice to find someone else who doesn't squark and go for the broom!

I know!!!! My rats dont smell, they are very clean, but their cages do stink if not properly cleaned, but not them individually.i have a bunny too that ive had since my rat outbreak, and everyone always said that they always heard about rabbits being mean and stinky, but again, mine is the opposit...honestly my ultimate dream pet rodent is a cappybarra...if thats spelled correct...its like a giant guinea pig! Soooo cute!!! <3

Capi are so cute! my old flatmate was obsessed by them, its a pitty my country has such strict import laws :( there is no way in a frosty hell we could ever get one as a pet in NZ

I am also told that Capi purr when they are happy- and that is something i also loved about my Gpig :D also you can litter break them!

Oh! Really??? Thats so cool!!!! I didnt know they did it too! Yeah my bunny is litter trained and its so cool he hops in his cage when he has to go! See, another reason why people shouldnt dismiss small animals just cuz they are "rodents". :p
