Here we are!
We all made it to NOLA and our hotels safely. There have been some last minute changes with others assignments, but I am still working for Common Ground (Legal) tomorrow. I am looking forward to it. What I am going to be doing can be found
here. Professor Bergin and I are braving Public Transit (or a cab) to get to our office.
The group went out for dinner at Mulate's Some pictures are
here. There is nothing too great, including the food. I found it overpriced and actually not that good. I have had better grilled catfish in Houston. Perhaps I was hungry or just felt cheated for not getting any warm french bread with dinner.
Just some photos of the resturant and what Heather and I saw bumming around the French Quarter after dinner.
Speaking of which, Heather and I were the ONLY adventerous peeps that wanted to walk around. So, we headed towards the French Quarter. It was a bit nippy out, but it felt good, and we enjoyed the walk and chill time. We ended up at Molly's where we bought a pack of cigarettes and a drink. I had a buttered rum, which I think is the only way that I can actually drink rum. It warmed me up enough to easily make the trekk home.
More tomorrow. Long day at work + Orientation + Drinks with Student Hurricane Network peeps = good day!
Hopefully more tomorrow or the next. I am still learning this camera, so hopefully tomorrow's pics will be a zillion times better.
