There remained a stream of consciousness, allowing her to search the Universe to her heart’s content. Or rather it would have been had she still been in possession of a heart. As it was she was simply a disembodied consciousness travelling along a stream of stars.
Now and then a sensation washed over her, the feeling of time expanding to allow travel. Some civilisations used it often. Though when she was in a sector that didn’t have such technology at their disposal she knew it could only be one man.
He’d found his blue box, while she existed through stars.
