Title: Friends Indeed Characters: Sarah Jane Smith, K-9 Rating: Teen Word Count: 100 Words Episode: The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith Summary: Late at night when she was all alone, one friend remained by her side.
I can totally see that, K-9 will always be her loyal companion. I can also imagine him noticing that perhaps something was amiss with her relationship with Peter (that was terribly sad), but not wanting to ruin her happiness. Such is having a a tin dog for a best friend. At least she doesn't have to suffer alone so long as he's by her side.
Too true, Mickey underestimated the role of the tin dog. Its a great role to have.
I love the relationship between Sarah Jane and K-9. It was so sad how she'd been carrying him around in the boot of her car when she couldn't fix him. And I just imagined he would have been by her side after all the years they've had together. It was possibly the lowest point for her and she needed a real friend. The Doctor couldn't stay forever, but K-9 would always be there for her.
