It hurt...
She pressed a hand against her head, trying to quell the excruciating pain erupting within. Images flashed through her mind that couldn’t possibly be real but they were there all the same. And through it all the pain persisted. Something told her painkillers wouldn’t help. It was so intense, like nothing she’d ever felt before.
No one could help her - there was no way to help. All she had to do was hold on until it died down or she passed out. Either way the images would disappear and the pain would stop.
The world went black.
