Summary: After seeing something curious on a shelf, the Doctor takes it upon himself to visit an old friend.
Author's Note: Title is from the song 'Very Good Advice' featured in the Disney version of Alice in Wonderland, and I find rather befitting the Doctor.
It hadn’t been that long for him, travelling throughout the Universe, but for her a considerable amount of time had passed. She’d been a young thing when they’d met and he’d whisked her away, to prove to her that there was an amazing planet where the ground itself seemed to be chequered and the roses in the Queen’s garden were painted red because such a colour did not grow naturally.
Yet there she sat before him with her blonde hair turned white and her bright blue eyes a deeper shade of grey.
“I see your grandson wrote a book, Alice...”
