Meh... Valentine's Day is highly overembellished. On both ends. I don't think it's as horrible as lots of single people make it out to be, nor is it as great as Hallmark and gag-worthy couples like to think it is. It's a nice opportunity to express your feelings for that "special someone", but still slightly too cliché for my taste. Most every couple spends it the same way... buying each other a gift, making out a lot, going to a nice resturaunt, or for a long walk on the beach, watching the sunset. All of which would seem a little less robotic if they weren't done simply because the calendar says they should be. Maybe I'm just one of those bitter single people who spent my day becoming more aware of my lack of an "other", but I kinda doubt it. I'm thinkin' even if I did have someone to cuddle with right now, I wouldn't care that it's February 14th. So National Singles Awareness Day = Overrated (with a capital o).
Pineapple sherbet, on the other hand... definitely underrated...
