You Talk Like Crap
31_days, August 21

There were many things Anna didn’t believe in. She didn’t believe in commenting about anything without experiencing it. She also didn’t believe some people were born stupid. But there were some cases though that just took the cake.

And one of those was Roed Romanov and his inability to keep his mouth shut. She had yet to ask her father what had possessed him to reunite the Tang and the Romanov after their three generations worth of feud.

“And then you know what? Grandpa Lucian said no parties. That’s like, what the fuck, yeah? It’s so w-t-f.”

Even Uncle Zachary doesn’t speak like that, she gloomily muttered to herself. Roed continued rambling on and on until she had completely blocked out his voice, her attention focused on the book on her lap.

“Anna! Why aren’t you listening to me?!”

She sighed; the book closed with a snap. Anna didn’t hesitate, not one bit, to glare at her so-called fiancé and coldly say, “Shut up.”

“But you said you wanted to know what my day is like!” Roed refuted, waving his hand around.

She also had yet to ask her father how Uncle Zachary managed to persuade him into the engagement.

“But not in full details! Phrases like ‘It’s nice’ or ‘Oh, I wish it was better’ would suffice!”

“What kind of answers are those?!”

She screamed at him, almost tearing the book apart. “The kind that I want!”

Without another word, she stormed off, black hair bouncing with each stomp of the foot.

“And don’t you dare start talking!”

Sometimes, she really wonders why she was born a generation earlier.
