[Poem] Miles

Jul 18, 2009 19:48

Note: Written during the TWG application exam. And uh, more experimentation with alignments.
Prompt: Picture of an old man driving, close-up.

MILES

Drive; wonder

The lamp posts, lighted so bright.
The side streets, crowded so much.

Stop; grumble

Slow and steady, don't you remember?
Maybe not, maybe yes
But who cares; who bothers?
No one, and no one else.

Go; sigh

Finally, you whisper
and off you go
with naught a care
as wind stings your eyes

Turn; crash
