Oh ugh
Things that have not gone well today:
1) The Internet was down at work for the first two hours so I could not access the Oracle site to research stuff.
2) The Internet was down at work for the first two hours so I could not entertain myself while waiting for people to do stuff.
3) The DBAs kept setting up new tables without select privileges, which makes it very hard to do anything useful with them, so I spent a lot of time waiting (and being bored with Internet) for them to fix stuff before I could continue with non-research type work.
4) A colleague took his monthly sick day (a rant for another day) and I got asked where he was at least ten times through the day.
6) A two hour meeting got rescheduled to be 12pm to 2pm next week. I.e. throughout all reasonable definitions of "lunch time". It was originally at a perfectly sensible time this morning.
7) Optician appointment. 'Nuff said.
I am so incredibly, insanely happy to finally be home. At least (7) means that I'll soon have sunglasses with the correct prescription soon. My old ones are not the right prescription. By a very long way. Stupid eyes.
Now I have a headache and my fortnightly stabby injection fun. So totally veging out with snacks and a movie when the injection is done.
