One day, I'm thinking of telling a big fat porkie and claiming that I'll be out of town all weekend so nobody can ask me to go anywhere, do anything or call me. Then I'll have a movie weekend :-) But I'm incapable of doing that, it seems.

I try to only have an hour (maybe two if I'm feeling particularly tired) with the TV on weeknights. The rest of the time is for housework, writing and catching up on emails. Then there are the evenings when I'm out knitting, going to odd church events or socialising.
I'm very bad at saying no to people who want to do things on weekends because it makes me feel guilty and selfish. Particularly when my only reason for refusing is that I want a quiet day at home! If it's because I genuinely can't afford something then I'll get out of it, but if it's because I don't enjoy the suggested activity or I want some me time, then I can't make myself say no. It's also the one time of the week when I can bake and do serious cooking, which takes up lazy time even further.
Thus most of my weekends get consumed with doing stuff and I never really just sit and relax. It's something I need to work on :-)
