I'm still in shock tbqh and haven't had time to really think about who might replace DT. I'd rather not have another Doctor, but if we have to, please let it not be James Nesbit. Not that I don't think he could play it, because from that POV I'm sure he'd be wonderful. I just hate his accent :o(
No, James Nesbit wouldn't be right. Da has been filling me in on a couple of the talked about names. Most of them are daft, quite frankly, but Paterson Joseph could be very good. I've loved him in other things and I think that he could have the right blend of dynamic energy and darkness. Only problem is that the DW people are notorious for not hiring people who have had previous roles in the show, Colin Baker being the only exception.
I wonder if Colin Firth would give it a go? That was a completely random bolt from gosh knows where. We know he can do comedy, I haven't seen anything dramatic he's been in, but I just have the feeling I wouldn't hate him.
