Somehow during the night I managed to twist my ankle. Not a sprain, but not very comfortable either. Combined with a knee still reminding me that I overdid it on Saturday and my usual hip/back tag team and it looks like I will be on a walking stick when I fly on Monday.
Still, the stick gives me priority loading on the plane so it's not all bad. And Mum is travelling with me this time and she promises to say nasty things to any
queue-jumping English tourists if they try anything again :-)
Speaking of, I don't think that I've babbled much yet about my forthcoming trip. I am very excited about it, though. On Monday I fly to Canada for a week to experience winter properly (very important before the big move) and start sorting a few things out for the aforementioned move. I plan to blog on the LJ as usual about my progress and any little panic moments that I have. Not that I plan to have any, but y'know. I'm moving in six months! Eieee!
We are allowed two pieces of hand-luggage on the plane so I plan on taking some of my older, more irreplaceable books with me to leave in Canada rather than trusting them to a shipping company. So my hardcover Chalet School books (plus a few others) will be going into plastic baggies for protection and then on a plane. I will miss them :-( Still, at least I won't have to worry about them sinking in a cargo ship or getting dumped in puddles of water at a dock!
And now Torchwood will be starting soon so I must sign off and watch. It is very important *nods* Yes, I have seen the spoiler for today's episode ;-))))
