I pretty much enjoyed it as well, and the final scene was highly amusing!

*g* It does make it rather a long wait to Christmas, though!

It was good - wasn't it? I'm hopeful that the hand that picked up the ring also has the Master's watch. I can still see huge potential there. Also I think it's time for a male assistant, possibly one who's got there by mistake (I don't want or need any more slashiness on that score).

PS Saw Freema Ageman at Pride on Saturday - on stage in Trafalgar Square :-).

Ooh, now there's a possibility that I hadn't considered and you're right, there's lots of potential there :-)

That would be good :-) Some of the best companions from the classic series were ones who didn't chose to go along with the Doctor but got caught up in events and the Doctor couldn't get them home. With the current set-up - the Doctor having surprisingly accurate TARDIS controls - I can see there being some issues, but a reluctant companion would definitely be fun :-)

Heee! Was she as lovely as she looks on screen?

Well - she was about 20ft tall on the screen!

Apparently, John Barrowman and Scott where also there - I seem to have missed them while I was chatting!

I'm pretty much awash with squee to be honest. Loving it all. My eldest cried when it was evident that the Doctor was going to be continuing on alone. She's as bad as me! Loved the goodbyes, ITA about The Master. They can't possibly bring him back for that one arc and then ditch him again. Besides, the guy playing him (sorry, forgot his name!) seems to be having far too much fun to waste it. He really is very good. The Master was always my favourite villain. More so than the Daleks or the Cybermen. Probably because he represents what the Doctor *could* be.

It's all maaaarvellous!!

There's something about DW finales that induce crying, it seems. I even got a little teary re-watching last year's finale and I've seen it two or three times!

I don't think the Master is a villain that you can ever get rid of - he's such a great foil to the Doctor. I'm not sure yet whether John Simm will be playing him when he comes back (I'm inclined to think that he's regenerated, so they may need a new actor) but I'm pretty damn sure that he will be back :-)

He's the Master, after all!
