First TV show fandom I had self-insertion fantasies about: Probably Karl May's novels, which were the first ones I read as a child. Apropos of absolutely nothing, I dreamed that I was having breakfast with you, drinking cafe au lait by an open window, and you were telling me about how you'd met Urvashi Vaid at some conference or another. ???

Alas I had to google Urvashi Vaid, but she sounds fascinating, and I'd love to meet her. :) (I did meet an Indian author, Shobha Dé, once in India and once at the Frankfurt Book Fair, so maybe your subconscious remembered that and mixed it up?)

Oddly enough, I don't know Urvashi Vaid! Despite having been around the same circles for a decade, I never actually met her. But I know many people who do know her, so I suppose I decided subconsciously that you did?

Well, you could come along on my next interview with Elizabeth Taylor....

I most certainly did. :) (THANK GOD I didn't write down my Miriam Suleika fantasy, I say again.) It's still one of my favourite movies of all time.
