Fannish5: Fictional Doctors To the Rescue

Mar 13, 2010 08:39

List 5 fictional doctors you'd want treating you. (Or not.)

Want:

Dr. Martha Jones (DW): competent, smart, friendly, gorgeous. Great storyteller. There's no downside there!

Dr. Julian Bashir (ST: DS9): also competent, friendly and gorgeous, and interested in literature. It doesn't have to be all high brow conversation, though; we could discuss favourite Bonds.

Do not want:

Dr. Cottle (BSG). I love Cottle and his snark on my tv screen, but in real life, the chain smoking would be too much for me.

Dr. Owen Harper (TW). Owen is another case of "fascinating to watch, do not want near me in real life". Just because he was my favourite character while he was on the show doesn't mean I'd let him treat me.

Dr. Gregory House (House). Yes, he'd diagnose what was wrong with me, but only after various traumatizing wrong guesses, and I really don't want to be held up as an example to lecture his staff on their personal lives.

In other news, I woke up to discover Glenn Beck has finally listened to the lyrics of Born In The USA. It's taken him only 26 years, but hey, it's more than Ronald Reagan ever did.
londonkds, what was the British example of a conservative declaring love for a song/singer while ignoring the lyrics again?
