That's a great list! I think I could also fill the list with a combination of "Doctor and Companion" plus "Wolverine and teenage ninja".

ETA: Forgot to add that I loved the development of Ray's character in the latest season - especially as he started to understand and support Alex's approach to police work.

If you'd told me we'd ever get "together, they solve crime" kind of scenes with Ray and Alex I'd have been very sceptical at the start of the show, but get them we did, and it was lovely to see. Here's hoping next season will also add "Alex helps Ray come to terms with coming out" type of scenes. :)

Fabulous meme! Seconding your picks for the fandoms I'm familiar with, and mentally exchanging
Nr. 3 (Alias, Sidney and Marcus) with Sinclair and Ivanova (B5)
Nr. 5 (X-Men, Hank and Emma) with Zhaan and Rygel (Farscape)
Nr. 9 (SJA, Sarah Jane, Clyde) with Tegan and Turlaugh (DW)
Nr. 10 (X-Men, Hisako and Wolverine) with G'Kar/Na'Toth (B5)

All also choices I like, though Ivanova was probably closer to Sheridan than she was to Sinclair. (We got a reversal of dynamics there - in s1, it was Sinclair and Garibaldi plus Ivanova, in s2-5, it was Sheridan and Ivanova plus Garibaldi.) Shame we didn't get more Na'Toth!

Definitely.

I guess my reason for choosing Ivanova's relationship with Sinclair over her relationship with Sheridan is mostly that Sinclair has always remained one of my all time favourite TV characters whereas my feelings regarding Sheridan are mostly neutral.

That is one fabulous list! I'm unfamiliar with 3 and 10, but otherwise, total, complete agreement. Obviously you have excellent taste. :D

Now you're tempting me to write an AXM pimping post, but I shall resist, for lack of time. Alias, by and large, is a fun show with some fabulous characters. (And some boring ones, but that's inevitable.)

Great meme, and a great list, even though I only know about half of the shows you mention. Love that you also included non-regular characters, like Luna Lovegood (whom I found a sweet and fitting choice, btw).

Combinations I would be tempted to add:
- Janeway and Tuvok (ST: Voy)
- Harry and Hermione (HP), though I know some fans will insist this is not purely platonic *g*
- Sam and Daniel (SG-1) - as far as I know, they've never expressed any romantic interest in each other, but I've still to make it past s5, so might've missed something.
- Spock and Saavik (ST: movies) Well, I know they're married in some of the novels, but that's not canon, is it? :)

Plus, I completely second bimo's G'Kar and Na'Toth.

Am now trying very hard to think of one for BSG, but can't! *unh, brain frying* (of course, that is one hell of a sexy show :) ) Would say Roslin and Billy, but not sure if that was ever really a friendship...

I'm definitely with you on Janeway and Tuvok, Harry and Hermione and Spock and Saavik (and no, not canon, the novels! Except for The Pandora Principle, because that's fabulous backstory for Saavik *g*). Sam and Daniel I know only slightly, having seen all of four or so Stargate episodes, but think you're right.

BSG: Kara and Helo have a good friendship.

I love all your answers! And yes, I just did a whole list in my head just in the Whoverse without breaking a sweat.
