It didn't hit as hard since it was the end of the series, but...it just seemed gratuitous, especially since she didn't get to do very much in the season after her redemption. (I think season severn suffered a lot from the writers just not knowing what to do with people.)
I'd bring back Jenny, personally. Do you hear me, comics? Do you?
(And, well, Kate didn't actually die but she almost may as well have.)

Anya...hmm, I dunno. She doesn't have nearly the same history with Angel or any of the characters, so I don't think it would have been as entertaining.
