I thought the boy was John Webster in Shakespeare in Love, who was quite bloodthirsty.

No worries! I enjoyed the entry, although Shakespeare in Love is the only one of those I've seen. I think "The Shakespeare Code" is the next Who in my queue.

What a lovely post! I really do love Gaiman's Shakespeare, in all his human folly, and I loved the brief appearance of his sharp-tongued wife, too. I absolutely agree with you about the Dark Lady sonnets in Doctor Who - such a wasted opportunity! Still, the one he does quote rather fits the themes of the episode...

Haven't seen the last two, but I have a soft spot for the Shakespeare Code's Shakespeare just because he's Northern. It makes me immensely happy.
