Super Team Meme, from yahtzee63
Assemble a super team from your favorite films, TV shows, books etc. Your team must consist of the following: Team Leader, Warrior, Smartypants, Hottie, Comic Relief. You may not use more than one character from each source.
I'm going with an all-female team:
Team Leader: Laura Roslin (BSG). She'd be soft spoken, smart and entirely lethal if necessary. Proven leadership skills, and the ability to get the group she leads through almost any crisis.
Warrior: Aeryn Sun (Farscape). Not only is she an excellent fighter and trained to function in a team; she would not go for the top spot herself.
Smartypants: Jadzia Dax (ST: DS9). Dax is several hundred years old, clever, and tolerant without being patronizing or too accepting. What's more, she would make an excellent confidante-plus-challenge for Laura, not afraid to point out when she thinks Laura is wrong but without doing so in front of the team. As with Aeryn, she doesn't have leadership ambitions herself.
Hottie: Emma Frost (X-Men comicverse). As she's absolutely unembarassed to tell anyone, Emma paid a lot of money to look as gorgeous as she does, and uses that if she has to, but more importantly, her telepathy and fighting skills are useful in any team, and her sarcastic wit would keep everyone on their toes. I predict regular Aeryn/Emma clashes, with odd moments of empathy interspersed as they're both in love with broken boyscouts. Oh, and there'd definitely be slashy tension.
Comic Relief: Gabrielle (Xena: Warrior Princess). Gabrielle started out as a sidekick and ended up as the heroine of the show, but she also ended up widowed, so to speak, so she needs a new job. Everyone would be bound to underestimate her at first, due to her tendency to babble (hence the comic relief assignment), which can be useful. Also, she has strong ethics, and is passionate about them, which with Laura and Emma in the team is necessary.
