After some very busy days, I ended up at my parents for the weekend, and just returned from the animal shelter where my mother adopted a new cat, named Ivy. Female, black and white and seven years old, because we figured kittens find a place easily. Ivy is sitting in my room right now, and I am feeling rather sentimental.
Also, I watched the new Veronica Mars episode, Rat Saw God. Bulletin review:
- Veronica and Clarence Weidman should open their own detective agency
- Veronica's scene with Abel Koontz was heartrendering without being over the top, and filled me muchly with the Veronica love
- Harry Hamlin is clearly having as much fun playing Aaron Echolls as ever
- Cliff is adorable
- they really strike a great balance with Logan; for every scene in which you feel sorry for him (as the one with dear old Dad), you get shown the utter jerk side as well (eviction notice for not just Weevil but Weevil's grandmother)
- class warfare as ongoing theme: I love myself some continuity
- Joss!!!!
- I can't be the only one who was yelling THREESOME! THREESOME! at the end, can I?
- though I'm sure I was the only one who was so corrupted by certain completley VM-unrelated
theatrical_muse storylines that I was expecting Kara Veronica to tell Duncan "this is like the Simpson episode Homer and the Carnies" and to write emails to all her friends about how it's always about Logan for everyone.
